The Newcomer's/Trader's Net meets every Tuesday evening at 8:00 PM EST on
146.76 minus. This repeater is located in Lexington KY. The range is
approximately 40 to 50 miles. This net is also linked to the 444.125
repeater + offset and tone of 88.5. It has a range of about 50 to 60 miles
from Lexington. Thanks to the Bluegrass Amateur Radio Club (K4KJQ repeater,)
and Jeannie and Mike (KB8QLC repeater.) The 444.255 repeater usually linked
is down due to ice taking the tower down. We hope it can be resurrected!
Thanks to John, KC4DUU for his support in the past.

The purpose of this net is to make available items for sale, trade or
give-away, amateur and related equipment. All listings on the net are posted
on the KYHAM and BARS Listservers. Unless item are re-listed each week, they
are removed from the servers after the second listing. This net is a
directed net and all stations are welcomed to participate. Besides items for
sale/trade, stations may also ask questions concerning ham radio, make
announcements or just check in.

                      BLUEGRASS AMATEUR RADIO CLUB (BARS)

The BARS club is soliciting contributions to enable replacement of hard line
and an antenna on the 146.760 repeater. The weather and age has taken it's
toll and the repeater has had very limited range for several years. It has
been an essential link for emergency operations and community projects
throughout the years and needs to be restored for reliable communications.
All donations are tax deductible. If anyone can point to a commercial
benefactor, all information will remain confidential unless otherwise
requested. About $3200 is still needed.
