As usual Pat has a firm grasp on the use and non-use of our local
repeaters in time on emergency......
And as such Pat, Mom, Harold, Frank, Craig, Sam and Ron and a host of
others that slipped in and out for the past several days are to be
commended for their gift, of and to the area in assisting others to get
the services that they, I am sure were lacking at the time... We should
be glad to know and be a part of such a fine group of people. I have, as
some of you have been unable to allocate even a moment to the ARES group
for some time.... BUT, Be assured your service and dedication to the
community has not gone unnoticed...........
I hope those that are still without power and heat find a speedy closure
to their problem.......
In a way it was a real test of some of the things we might have to face
later with the possibility of war looming on the horizon...

Please make a not of all the things that DIDN'T work as planned around
the house, and make the necessary changes as soon as it gets warm and
fuzzy out side... You know, like where were all the batteries for the
flashlight that you couldn't find in the dark, where were the candles
that you put on the shelf last .....year ?, Years ago.... And how to
light the candle with out a match or Cig. lighter........ Oh!, and How
do you get in to the Garage to turn on the generator when the over head
doors won't work and you can't find the key to the side door.....
