[KYHAM] Spamming using Amateur Call signs

A couple of things to remember. When these people send out spam, they sometimes use a random name generator that just puts together names, letters and numbers and maybe even calls signs to use as addresses. Also, there are some email viruses out there that can spoof who sends it. For example Jim has this virus on his machine and has Bob in his email contact list. The virus will send itself out to everyone in Jim's contact list, but put Bob's name on it as the sender. That way, if the email does get bounced back, then it has Bob's name and it returns it back to Bob. I ran in to this just last month. A guy at church had one of these viruses and I kept getting email from people who I never heard of before containing this virus.

Just a thought on the matter.

Hi Paul et all....

Yep, me too, I have been filing "stolen identity" reports with hotmail.com regularly too.

I get emails bounced back to me that I didn't send. So far all the products that have

bounced back have been fairly legit... I fear finding my call pandering porn. Hotmail

tells me that these messages (I copy and forward to them) are boot-legged and I already knew

that
. They do not carry the proper ID numbers even to be hotmail.com

originated, but they still "appear" to be from me.
