Awards To Be Presented At Louisville Hamfest

At this year's Greater Louisville Hamfest and Computer Show, the ARRL Forum
at 10am will include presentations of numerous awards. ARRL Kentucky Section
Manager John Meyers, NB4K will be presenting the Kentucky Ham of the Year
Award and the Steve McCallum, W2ZBY - Club Newsletter Award. KY ARES Section
Emergency Coordinator Ron Dodson, KA4MAP will be presenting the Kentucky
ARES Operator of the Year Award for 2003, two KY ARES Lifetime Achievement
Awards and ARES Special Recognition Awards. John will be presenting the
forum and Ron will discussing the latest ARES information.

Additionally, the award for the KY QSO Party, sponsored by the Bullitt
Amateur Radio Society, will be presented. This year's Top Dog Award goes to
the KY Contest Group, achieving an outstanding score of 72,696 points. Last
year's Top Dog, the Tennessee Contest Group, came in second with 23,240
points. Kentucky's success was mostly due to the work of Jeffrey Clark, NY4N
who "was able to activate 26 counties." Jeffrey commented he "had lots of
fun driving in the beautiful Kentucky farmland." All the KY QSO Party
results can be found on the Bullitt ARS web site at
