[KYHAM] Endorsement

Fellow Amateurs of Kentucky,

In the next few weeks we will be receiving in the mail from the American
Radio Relay League (ARRL) a voting ballot to select our next Division
Director. There are three gentleman running for this office and as you will
see from my following comments I feel there is only one of them qualified
for the position. Gary Johnston, KI4LA the current Director has had three
years of intense training from one of the best Directors ever to hold the
position for the Great Lakes, George Race, WB8BGY. Gary is prepared to take
the challenge of Director to a greater level of commitment by demonstrating
his ability to understand and develop League policy. He has sensitivity in
working with the membership. He has already formed a working relationship
and interdependence as did his predecessor and affords that same sensibility
while working with the three Section Managers from the Great Lakes Division.
He has the feelings of the membership at hand and understanding to make
their wishes known to the Board of Directors. The ballot needs to be
returned to the ARRL by November 15, so I ask you to join with me in keeping
Gary Johnston, KI4LA Director of the Great Lakes Division.
