[KYHAM] National Threat Level Raised to ORANGE

With tomorrow being the 1st anniversary of 9-11 and the
history of terrorists using holidays or anniversary dates as
general target periods for much of their activity, The US
Office of Homeland Security today raised the national threat
level to ORANGE or "High".

There is no known threat in domestic regions however there
is considered to be a raised threat in the southeast asian
area of the world.

OHS and DOJ are NOT recommending cancellation of public
events,
significantly increased restrictions, etc.  But some level
of security for
public events is always recommended, as well as review of
emergency
operations plans and procedures.

Stay alert, stay calm, saty aware of what is going on around
you and in the broadcast media and keep your radios at the
ready in case an activation becomes necessary at request of
state Emergency Management.
