Operations began at 9:20 AM EDT on HF 40 m, 7.228 MHz and
were moved to 7.231.5 MHz to make room for a net in another
region who came on freq at 10 AM EDT for a regular session
we were unaware of. Op's concluded on 7.231.5 at 11:35 AM
EDT. Initially it looks pretty good. We had a total of 34
stations on 40 Meters, 30 of which were either running or
had immediate access to emergency power for their gear.
THIS IS GREAT! Boone Center, the state EOC was also on
throughout the morning on 40 meters with us.

What VHF nets I had an opportunity to monitor over my 4 VHF
rigs here sounded good, darn near scary with realism in a
few cases!

Looking forward to seeing the local net reports roll in.
Please send these by e-mail no later than next Saturday,
October 12 so I can have a chance to eliminate all double,
triple calls and assess actual ham operator and area
participation. *** NCS or EC's; Be sure your reports
reflect calls, power status, town location and county on all
who participated! Let's give everyone credit who took part.

Anyone with soapbox comments, good or bad are invited to
send them in and please note IF I CAN QUOTE YOU in the
report or if you'd rather it stay between the two of us.

I will try to have the state-wide S.E.T. after action report
finished by NLT Nov. 1, 2002 It will be released via the
listservs and sent to NWS and state EM/EOC staff. BTW, if
any of you did any photos from your operations today, send
them to KD4PWL at [email protected] as he will be
doing a segment for either the 'News' or 'Photos' section of
the Ky Amateur Radio Web Site on the SET in coming weeks.

73 all and thanks for a great day!
