The Newcomer's/Trader's Net meets every Tuesday evening at 8:00 PM EST on
146.76 minus. This repeater is located in Lexington KY. The range is
approximately 40 to 50 miles. The purpose is to make available items for
sale, trade or give-away, amateur and related equipment. It is a directed
net and all stations are welcomed to participate. Besides items for
sale/trade, stations may also ask questions concerning ham radio, make
announcements or just check in.

The Bluegrass Amateur Radio Society BARS will hold it's annual Hamfest on
Sunday 4 August 2002. This year the club will sponser the ARRL Kentucky
Convention. A banquet is planned the Saturday evening before the hamfest at
the Holiday Inn at Newtown Road and I-64/75. Details will be announced
