[KYHAM] New Director for KyEM Named

I have just received word that the new Director for Ky
Division of Emergency Management will be Malcolm Franklin,
the current Area Manager for AREA 12.

Malcolm will be replacing the retiring Director, Ronn
Padgett (who has served with KyEM in a variety of capacities
since it was the Ky Office of Civil Defense in Nov. 1973)
effective August 1, 2002.

Ky Amateur Radio Emergency Service wishes to extend hearty
Congratulations to Malcolm on his new appointment and wish a
most happy and well deserved retirement to Ronn Padgett as
he moves into the next adventure in life. It has been my
distinct pleasure to have worked with Ronn these last 13
years and to be able to call him "friend".
