[KYHAM] Count Down to test session (Hamfest)

         Monday July 22, 2002 is the deadline for pre-registration for the 
test session that will be held at the KY ARRL Convention/Bluegrass ARS Hamfest.
The exam session will be held August 4,2002 at the hamfest location in 
Lexington, KY starting at 1:00PM. Limited seating is available.
To pre-register send a letter to:

With:
Your mailing address.
State which exam elements ( all will be given) you wish to take.
A check  or money order for $10 made out to ARRL/VEC
C.S.C.Es from previous exams if they have not lead to a license or upgrade 
to date
If you are a ham already a copy of your current license.
We will start the code exam ( 5 word per minute)  as soon as check-in is 
completed, so make sure you are on time.
All code exams  may be passed by a 1 minute solid copy (25 characters or 
more in a row) or by fill-in-the-blank comprehension exam.
I shall send to you a verification letter, and NCVEC 605 form that you may 
fill out in advance to reduce check-in time.
If you come for just the test session and do not participate in the hamfest 
activities you are not required to buy a hamfest ticket.
Come in just before the test session and show the people at the gate your 
verification letter, they will check your name on the list and
direct you to the test session location.

When you come to the exam bring with you:
Your verification letter
NCVEC 605
Your original License
Your original C.S.C.E.s
Two forms of ID, one must have a picture such as a dirver's license.

And extra cash or checks if you plan to repeat any of the exams.

Those of you that may need an accommodation for a disability must contact 
me as soon as possible.  This is necessary to arrange for additional 
Volunteer Examiners and so that we can determine what accommodations are 
appropriate for your particular disability.  Handicap access will be 
available. If you need use the handicap access to the test session just ask 
a hamfest official for assistance.
