[KYHAM] Arrl Convention Dinner/lodging

Hello to all,

My name is Jeanie Dalton, KB8QLC and I was appointed by the Bluegrass
Amateur Radio Society to oversee the ARRL Convention that is slated to
occur the same weekend as the Lexington hamfest on August 3 and 4, 2002.

I am trying to get a feel for how many hams would be interested in
attending the Arrl Convention dinner to be held on Saturday the 3rd of
August.  The time is at the present around 6:00 pm but is not set in ston=
e
right now.  I am wanting to get an estimate to offer the proprietor of th=
e
lucky restaurant !   The restaurant is still to be determined.

I am also wondering how many folks will be coming from afar to attend the=

convention that would be interested in a room at a motel the night of
August 3rd to be able to attend the rest of the convention and the hamfes=
t
on Sunday the 4th.  I am going to be looking for a place that will offer =
a
block of rooms for a reduced price with a reservation prior to the hamfes=
t.

I know we still have alot of time before the hamfest but I am just wantin=
g
a feel for how many to anticipate at the meal and motel.  =
