[KYHAM] Section News Column in QST

ARRL MEMBERS:


During the ARRL Board of Director's meeting on January 18th, the Directors
will be asked to vote for the elimination of the Section Manager's QST
columns that appear in QST.  In the next few weeks the ARRL will "roll out"
an area on the ARRL WEB site where members would be able to view submitted
section news columns. With this and some other changes in the magazine,
contest results being one of them, QST will be reduced from 176 to 160 pages
in a move to cut costs.
    If you are have an opinion for/against this you need to make you voice
known by e-mailing me at nb4k@arrl.org. I will make keep a list of the for
and against and pass this information on to the director. The column is
informative and needed for those who do not have internet or those who do
not check the ARRL web pages daily. If they remove the section column and
contest results what would be next?
