Hi Folks,
For the most part I just sit and read the postings.............
And to this end I have learned a lot.. The postings that have been made
lately by WA4MAP (Ron the State ARRL SEC) have kind of rang a small bell
in the back of my head..........Even though some may cry Paranoia, Let us
not forget that prior to 9/11 we all were running around (as my
Instructor says) "Fat Dumb and Happy"...... This my friends, for now and
the foreseeable Future is a luxury we cannot afford to indulge..... Gone
are the days where we can feel totally safe in the common place work a
day world..... For some there will have to be the constant awareness of
where we are and what is next.....
In Amateur Radio although it is a hobby, let us not forget it is also
a privilege....... One that we must use responsibly or we surely will
lose..... Preparedness is just good sense, I am sure that there are those
who would go fishing and take only one worm (either Pat or Ron) But I for
one want the whole tackle box to have a variety of items at my
disposal.........

I for one thank Ron for taking the time to enlighten us on some of the
things we can....No, must be aware of in this constantly changing
world...

We still have an unprecedented level of freedom in this country and
can enjoy this as long as we are able to see the danger of becoming
complacent.......................
