SKYWARN Recognition Day
 SKYWARN Recognition Day is an annual event in which amateur radio
operators visit National Weather Service (NWS) offices nationwide and
contact other amateur radio operators around the world. The purpose of
this event is to recognize amateur radio operators and the contributions
they make to NWS warning operations, and to strengthen our cooperative
bonds. The event is co-sponsored by the NWS and the American Radio Relay
League (ARRL).  NWS Louisville will participate in this year's event as
W4K.  The event will commence at 7 PM EST on Friday, December 6, 2002,
and will end at 7 PM EST Saturday, December 7, 2002.  Additional
