[KYHAM] Newcomer's and Trader's Net 09 April 2002

The Newcomer's/Trader's Net meets every Tuesday evening at 8:00 PM EST on
146.76 minus. This repeater is located in Lexington KY. The range is
approximately 40 to 50 miles. The purpose is to make available items for
sale, trade or give-away, amateur and related equipment. It is a directed
net and all stations are welcomed to participate. Besides items for
sale/trade, stations may also ask questions concerning ham radio, make
announcements or just check in. All listings are posted to the KY Ham
server.

  At least a 200 watt HF Dummy load with wattmeter built in. Perhaps a
manual antenna tuner with dummy load and meter would be suitable as well.

KF4DXJ, Jennifer: Bourbon Co. ARES NET every Thursday at 8:30 on 147.52
simplex.

KD4PWL, Pat: The BARS Net has been moved from 9:00 PM to 8:00 PM on
Wednesday nights on 146.76 Minus. Also, check into the Fayette County ARES
Net on the same repeater at 9:00 PM each Thursday night.

KE4LZP, James: The Mercer/Boyle ARES Net meets at 9:00 PM on Monday Nights
on the 146.655 minus repeater.

KR4BD, Tom, is conducting a Westcars test session for all classes of amateur
radio. To be held at the Red Cross building on Newtown Pike, 14 April,
Sunday at 1:30 PM EDST. Walk-ins okay. Please bring a copy of your license
and two id's. The cost is $8.00
