Diamond model SRJ77CA. It made a noticable improvement for me. I encourage you to forward this email to any area amateur radio operator to make sure they get the news. The 147.240 VHF repeater and the 146.910 VHF repeater will be updated with a new PL tone on Saturday morning just after the weather net concludes at 8 AM. The new PL is 173.8. This will be on both the input and output frequencies. The old PL tone will no longer work and radios without any PL tone on the input frequency will no longer work. The 442.300 UHF repeater has been using the new PL tone of 173.8 for the past six weeks on both the input and output frequencies. Please note we initially announced a different PL tone would be used but further investigation found that PL was in use on repeaters with the same frequencies in northwest Indiana. We felt it prudent to avoid possible interference and use the secondary PL assigned for our region by the Indiana Repeater Council. The 147.375 VHF repeater has not been replaced with new equipment and will remain without any PL on the input or output frequencies temporarily. It is expected that it will be updated with new equipment sometime in mid to late February. We have the repeater and controller but are awaiting an interface control module from Arcom which is on back order. When the new repeater is placed online, it will have the new 173.8 PL tone on the input and output frequencies. I will send out info when that happens. 73's K9GTJ - Jim Hunt Kokomo Repeater Club President
