This is a reminder about the Indiana QSO Party (INQP).
The Hoosier DX and Contest Club sponsor this event and give out plaques or certificates for any significant operating activity. This is a fun event and opportunity for everyone to put their county on the air. Last year we had all 92 counties in Indiana active mostly by the mobilers, but some have traveled to rare counties to set up portable stations. The event is from 1600Z until 0400Z this Saturday.
The rules for the 2005 Indiana QSO Party on May 7 have been posted on the HDXCC website www.hdxcc.org
The Hoosier DX & Contest Club have also developed a Worked All Indiana Award for stations working 60, 75, 85 and all 92 counties. The details are also posted on the HDXCC website. The INQP is a great opportunity to work a number of Indiana counties.
Special Treat... KB9AX / aero mobile will be working the INQP. The pilot, Dan, will be monitoring 146.49 MHz during his flight around the state and can help coordinate HF frequencies. The HF aero mobile contacts will count for INQP QSO credit and will also count toward the Worked All Indiana award. They should be heard by 2 meter mobile antennas at a range of 100 miles or more (judging from the 2003 INQP).
It you would like to help, please venture to multiple counties and operate... Thank you for your support.
Please contact me or visit the club website if you have any questions.
