Hi
The annual IDEA Curriculum Fair http://fair.ideafamilies.org/ has again
invited the Anchorage Amateur Radio Club to host a table. This year we are
setting up a Go Kit so that we can show a 2 meter rig and it will be able to
hit the 94 repeater. In addition, we will have a code oscillator with a key
and an HF rig for show and of course some brochures and handouts. If you
can't make the Fair perhaps you could keep an ear out on the 94 repeater and
return a call if you hear the Fair site demonstrating to some potential
hams.
We currently have room for more volunteers to man the booth. The blocks are
for two hours down at the Egan Center. If you are interested, please go to
www.kl7aa.net and click on the Public Service Activities Page on the left
side, it will take you to a sign up sheet. While you are there at the
website, please look around and get familiar with it. While just getting
underway it looks to be a nice update and will allow us some more
flexibility in presenting information to our members.
Any questions, let me know.

PS: We have our monthly club meeting on Friday at APU. Three topics on the
slate: Update on the lease application for the new clubhouse project, Field
Day 2017 planning, and if time permits a brief discussion of northern
latitude ionospheric propagation.
