This Friday is the monthly general membership meeting at the APU campus as
usual.  Directions can be found at  <http://www.KL7AA.net> www.KL7AA.net,
and it will start at 7pm.

 

The topics this month are updates and general information to the club
membership and by several speakers.

 

They are:

 

1.    Upcoming club election business, it is that time of year for
nominations

2.    Public Service events:  What, Why, Where, and Who

3.    How to get a good signal into a repeater.

4.    What goes on at the club on Working Wednesday.

5.    A presentation on bicycle mobile operation.

 

Note there will be several openings to fill on the board and a couple of the
chairs.  This is your club and it is the energy that goes in that provides
the energy that comes out.  So please join us.  There will be door prizes as
usual.

 

For those who pay attention to propagation, even though we are on the down
side of the solar cycle that doesn't mean upper band signals are completely
gone.  We have had several geomagnetic storms lately, much to the delight of
aurora watchers, but we are also closing in quickly on the equinox and that
provides a several dB increase in signals as the world shares 12 hours of
daylight. So stay active and if you don't have a station, consider the clubs
station.
