Gary AL9A from Wasilla will be presenting a PowerPoint slide show on HF
Radio Contesting at the May meeting.  He will offer several tips and
techniques gleaned from over thirty five years of contest activity
experience, of which the last eleven years are from here in Alaska.

For those considering contest operating Gary will have several insights into
how to get started.  If you already have contest operating experience he may
have several tips and techniques that can improve your operating results.
Topics to be covered include pre-contest preparations, contest operating in
various modes such as CW, SSB and RTTY, and post contest activities
necessary to document your contest efforts and evaluate your results.  There
will be ample opportunity to ask questions and exchange ideas during and
after the presentation.

Personally, after 40 years of being fairly active, I didn't get into
contesting until about 18 months ago.  What a super way to enjoy learning
and increasing skills in many areas of amateur radio.  I hope you will join
