The September edition of the monthly Anchorage Amateur Radio Club's meeting
will be this Friday at our normal location on the APU campus at 7pm on
Friday.
Modern Malware Attack Vectors by K4MFC Matthew F. Caldwell, CTO at
Borderhawk.
We will discuss and demonstrate the newest vectors of how attacks are
occurring. How Zeus is propagating, how Fake AntiVirus is getting onto your
internal networks and explain why it keeps happening.
Bio:
Matthew F. Caldwell is a seasoned security professional with over
15 years of experience in the information security field and also an amateur
radio operator since the age of 14.
Currently he serves Borderhawk as CTO where he designs best of breed
information
security intelligence solutions and governs the technical aspects of the
company. He designed from the ground up DigitalStakeout's iScoutWeb and
iScoutNetwork while serving as Chief Technology Officer. Prior to that
he spent time abroad in the Phillippines with the company Infoweapons
working on IPv6 and Wimax technologies building the fastest DNS/DNSSEC
Server on record and the first firewall specifically designed for IPv6
optimization.
Matthew was the Co-Founder of GuardedNet and original co-author
of NeuSecure one of the first SIEM/SEM products on the market.
GuardedNet was eventually sold to IBM and he holds patents on
correlation technology with IBM.
