All,
The November edition of the Anchorage Amateur Radio Club's monthly meeting
will be held at the normal location on the APU campus November 7 (week from
today). In addition to the annual review of the club's budget, we have
another interesting guest speaker, Sam Albanese of NOAA... From Sam:
Are you interested in helping the NWS improve forecast services? Come join
us November 7th from 7 to 9 PM to learn about the Volunteer Weather Spotter
Program. A Volunteer Weather Spotter helps your NOAA's National Weather
Service stay aware of the high impact weather that enables them to provide
the best up to date weather forecast to help you make important decisions to
protect yourself and your property.
Many of you are aware that the ARRL and many ham associations throughout the
country and world sponsor amateur radio weather spotting ( see
<http://www.srh.noaa.gov/oun/?n=amateurradio>
http://www.srh.noaa.gov/oun/?n=amateurradio for example) in the Skywarn
system.
Come and join us for this informative session. Meeting starts at 7pm.
