[KL7AA] VHF/UHF Digital Modes in Anchorage

Hello all,

 

I recently acquired a Signalink USB external sound card second hand for
purposes of operating digital modes with my VHF/UHF radio.  I was curious if
anyone had any suggestions for digital stations in the Anchorage area.  I
see on the KL7AA website that there is a BBS and other things up running
AX.25 and TCP-IP as well as Winlink.  I'm not currently set up to do those
yet (wouldn't I need a TNC?) so I am looking for other stations to work.

 

Or am I barking up the wrong tree and no one does RTTY/PSK/etc over VHF/UHF?

 

I really need to get into HF.
