The GORC Iditarod Challenge is an event where amateur radio operators must
make contacts with nine countries. It is fashioned after the famous 
Iditarod Dogsled Race
in Alaska.  Only your sled is a radio and your dogs are antennas!  This
event will take place from November 1st, 2008 until March 31st, 2009.

Hello all,

I've been receiving emails about the deadline for signing up for the
GORC Iditarod 2009 Challenge. The deadline for sign-up is October 1st,
2008 not 2007!  Sorry for the typo!

GORC Iditarod 2009 Challenge Dates:

Deadline for signup-------- October 1, 2008
Start---------------------- November 1, 2008
Finish--------------------- March 31, 2009

The GORC Website will have an application for all "mushers" to fill out
and mail or email to GORC. Get your sleds and dogs ready for the
challenge!
