Girl Scouts are looking for adults who might be interested in coaching an
all-girl robotics team (ages 9-14) or being a technical mentor for a team.
Our teams of up to 10 girls will meet weekly for a period of approximately 3
months, and participate in the FIRST Lego League tournament on January 12.
Thanks to funding from Motorola through a grant from Girl Scouts of the USA,
team coaches will receive a stipend of $100. Coaches do not need robotics
experience - just enthusiasm for science & technology, and a willingness to
let the girls do the work. If you know someone who might be interested,
please pass this e-mail along to them. Robotics is a lot of fun, and
building and programming robots gives girls a chance to experience the joys
of discovery while working as part of a team.
Our all-girl robotics teams are open to all girls ages 9-14 - not just Girl
Scouts - and no robotics experience is necessary. For more information, you
can also visit our website at www.girlscouts.ak.org

Thank you!
