WHO:  All Red Cross disaster service volunteers and all amateur radio
operators that might be asked to provide communications support under
the ARRL - American Red Cross National SOU.

TOPICS:
This class is part of the national Red Cross Disaster Services Human
Resource programs (DSHR) and will be taught as a joint ARES RED CROSS
class that will cover the fundementals of emergency communication that
is required for providing support to the American Red Cross in times of
disaster operations.

Communications is a primary function in the national Red Cross disaster
services program and local volunteers are utilized to support the
logistics, emergency services and disaster assistance provided to
shelter operations and Red Cross support functions.

We will discuss the methods and modes of communication utilized by the
Red Cross in times of disaster, the frequency of operations and how DAT
members, Local Disaster Volunteers and Amateur Radio operators will be
utilized.
