========================================
All -
We need to beg, borrow, buy or steal several "nut-driver" tools for the
upcoming girl scout event this coming weekend. We need to come up with 10
each of the following sizes:
3/16" (black)
1/4" (red)
5/16" (yellow)
11/32" (green)
If you have some we can use (they will of course be returned), please let me
know immediately.
Alternatives: We are not against purchasing these tools if we can get them at
a reasonable price. I have looked at Wal-Mart, Lowes, Home Depot, Alaska
Industrial Hardware, Fred Meyer, Liquidation Sales, Sears, and Shucks with no
luck. Either they don't have individual units, or they don't have the sizes
we need. If anyone has another idea, let me know.
The need is immediate! We must be ready to go by this Friday morning (Jun
17). That means we need the tools no later than Thursday evening.
Also -
If any of you are planning on attending the Girl Scout event in Palmer (at the
State Fairgrounds), let me know at once so we can get your name on the list.
Even if you are not sure you will be attending, let us know. Only those who
have their name of the list will be granted access. We will be inside this
year, The scouts have arranged for tables and chairs to be set up in Raven Hall.
The MARA club is helping with the event, and will be the primary contact on
both days. We will have about 260 code practice kits for the girls, complete
with a software code learning course on CD-ROM. AARC supplied the materials,
and MARA sorted the parts into bags, - no small feat considering literally
thousands of pieces were involved.
Please let us know at once if you can help with the tools!!! email to:
