The 1st Annual

MOOSEHORN AMATEUR RADIO CLUB
Kenai Peninsula
HAMFEST

Saturday, July 23rd, 12 Noon to 5 PM.
At
The Cook Inlet Academy – Private Elementary School
45872 Kalifornsky Beach Road, Soldotna

(Coming from Anchorage go through Soldotna on the Sterling Highway.  Go by 
Safeway and McDonald’s on your right and go across The Kenai River (road 
construction at bridge) and come to stop light with Kalifornsky Beach Road and 
turn right.  Go down past The Alaska State Trooper’s on your left and then 
come to The Cook Inlet Academy, also on your left.  If you need help, check-in 
on the 146.88/28 repeater .

$3 Admission/Door Prizes.

What’s happening?

HamFest Swap Meet.  Bring your stuff to sell.  $5 for selling fee.  Table 
setup 11AM to 12Noon.  Cash only for admission and table fee.

LEO workshops: 12:30-3. Check when you arrive for room assignments.

12:30 – 1:15: KL7QZ, John.  “Hamming it up in the Wilderness” What’s new in 
Ham Radio for backpacking and canoeing in the Alaska back country.

1:20 – 2:05:  KL7DR, Dan “Everything you ever needed to know about the LEO 
satellites” (Note: Start in parking lot for AO-51 pass)

2:15 – 3:00: KL7AR, Mike “SWR, The whole truth and nothing but the truth”

3:00-5:00: VE Testing with KL7P, Dave.
