Alaska Computer Society Changes Meeting Location and Format
The Alaska Computer Society PC User’s Group, a nonprofit educational
organization serving Alaskans since 1982, will meet at a new location
with a new format starting at their July 14, Thursday evening meeting.
The meeting will be at the BP Energy Center, behind the main BP building
on 900 E. Benson Blvd. The meeting will start with an optional half-hour
overview of networking terms and a how a network works from 6:30 to 7
p.m. presented by Lyle Austin. The regular meeting will convene at 7
p.m. with question and answer period, announcements, and the monthly
security update. Following a snack and social break, Damien Hull will
give the main presentation on setting up a home computer network. The
meetings are always free and open to the public and benefit individuals
from beginner to advanced. Further information can be obtained by
