This is a respond ASAP type of request. 73, Jim, AL7FS
Help please:
We are ready (we think) to test the new Remote Testing software we have been
working on for the last 2 years. If you or anyone you know that lives within
driving range of Anchorage or Wasilla would like to use this opportunity to
try our system (and possibly get a new license or an upgrade), please contact
Jim Wiley (338-0662) at once, or via email: jwiley at alaska.net.
We are specifically looking for persons wishing to test for: (1) New
Technicians (no present license) and (2) upgrades from General to Extra.
We do not have the ability to do code testing (yet), and we do not have the
new General question pool loaded (also yet), so we are a bit limited, but we
can do "real" exams for the the 2 situations we are looking for. In other
words, we are not yet ready for Tech to General upgrades. Both code testing
and General exams should be ready soon.
We will be conducting these test runs today (Saturday evening), Sunday, and
Monday Evening.
Assuming the test runs are successful, we should be ready to do "regular"
testing for remote locations in late August or early September.
Remember - these special opportunities are available only on the dates of
July 17, 18, and 19.
