[KL7AA] Great Alaska Ptarmigan (GAP) Hunt - November 17 UTC

Greetings from Alaska,

The Alaska QRP Club is sponsoring the Great Alaska Ptarmigan (GAP) Hunt on 
November 17 UTC.  We hope to have as many as a 10-12 or maybe even more Great 
Alaska Ptarmigan (GAP) for you hunters to attempt to bag.  There will be 
prizes and certificates and a heap of fun.

The most likely time for the hunt will be 0000-0200Z on the 17th of November 
(calendar day Sunday, the 16th). More details will be released around the 1st 
of November and I will also post the info on my website at that time.

We expect GAPs will be on from Juneau, Kodiak, Palmer/Wasilla, Kenai/Soldotna, 
Eagle River, Anchorage, and Fairbanks.  We expect to have GAPs spread all up 
and down the band hiding in what ever thicket happens to exist on or near each 
assigned frequency.

I hope we can entice gobs of you hunters to show up for this one.  If the 
bands are really bad, we may even do it again in December.
