Dear Dan and Ham radio Friends,
Didn't know if you got anything from the G.S. on this, but thought you
should know as it concerns what the club did at Encampment. Perhaps a
response from the club is in order for public relations purposes.

Dear Troop Leaders,

If your troops attended Encampment and participated in the program where the
girls made morse code devices, please be aware of the following:

A parent called yesterday to let us know that she found her daughter's morse
code device smoldering in her daughter's closet - the batteries were so hot
that it burnt the mother when she touched it. Please pass along the word
that the batteries should be disconnected when not in use.

Thanks!
