Anchorage Amateur / South Central Radio Club Field Day
June 28 to 29 at the Tozier Dog Track on Tudor Road in Anchorage
All amateur radio operators and those interested in seeing what Amateur
radio can do are invited to stop by between 10AM on Saturday June 28 and
10AM on Sunday June 29 at the Tozier Dog Track on East Tudor Road in
Anchorage. Setup will be Friday afternoon starting perhaps 3PM. There are
several locations where field day activities will occur around South
Central Alaska, so if you are in Anchorage make sure you drop in at the
Tozier Dog Track. Activities will include operating on all bands that are
open and some that may not be. Eating is another important activity that
will be well represented. Some have said that HAM radio moves on its
stomach. We are going to make sure that anyone who helps set up, operate,
or tear down does not go away hungry. The main menu follows for those of
you who may be undecided:
Friday after setup: BBQ salmon, potato salad, vegetable tray and dessert
Saturday breakfast: beagles & cream cheese, assorted cereals and fruit tray
Saturday lunch: sandwiches, vegetable & fruit trays and desserts
Saturday dinner: Hot Links, Brats, BBQ Chicken, (hamburgers for the faint
hearted), potato & pasta salads, veggies, other grazing as appropriate and
of course desserts!
Sunday breakfast: eggs, hash browns, and fruit tray
Sunday after tear down is eat 'til its gone (-: chicken, salmon, burgers,
salads, fruit & veggies and as always desserts
Bring a jug of water and side dish or dessert, steaks, roasts, or whatever
you enjoy and wish to share. WL7JA may be bringing home made root beer too.
