[KL7AA] What's up with Packet in Alaska?

Howdy folks,

I've been nosing around on the Internet gateways trying to find an "in" to
the ANCHOR packet gateway, but I haven't been successful. I tried the one
up in North Pole (WL7LP) but I can't connect. I've heard Tim Comfort/WL7SK
talking about it when I was on the 146.82 net (via Echolink) a while back,
but not sure to what extent it's still active. Is the KL7AA packet BBS
still up and running?

I'm checking because there's no packet down here locally (only an unused
chat node), but I'm putting my gear back up on HF and building a gateway
station, similar to the one I had up there in the mid 90's. I don't know
how much sense that makes if I can't communicate with my buds up there.
