THE LEO'S ARE COMING TO WASILLA!
Hide your family because the LEO's are coming to town.
The LEO Amateur Radio Scientific Society will hold
it's Spring meeting in conjunction with the MARA Ham
Fest on Saturday, May 17th. As usual this will be a
luncheon meeting with speakers. We will meet at
Evangelo's, Mile 40, Parks Highway, Wasilla, at 12
Noon.
The program is tentatively planned as follows:
John Bury, KL7QZ presenting the 4th annual LEO/ARRL
Field Day . This year it will be "The 1st
Annual LEO/ARRL/US Coast Guard Auxiliary Field Day on
Saturday June 28th in Prince Wm. Sound. On Saturday
morning at 9AM The CGAUX-Whittier Flotilla will take
our LEO gang out into PWS where we will set up beach
and MM stations. We can use a few more hams to fill
out our group. John will explain in detail.
Mike Sweeley, KL7AR will present "SWR, fact or
fiction"
Dan O'Barr, KL7DR will present "The LEO Primer, 2nd
Ed." Dan will discuss and hand out his updated primer
on using the LEO's that was so popular 2 years ago.
"New Equipment" with John/QZ. The Tokyo High Power
HL-50B, The "Quick Draw" CableCaster and OTHERS
(please let John know if you can bring anything new on
the market).
We can always use presenters. For more information go
