[Kenwood] ALC with Kenwood TS-830S

Steve,

I haven't done this.  Traditional wisdom is to NOT use the ALC to limit 
the amp, that causes issues like flat topping and distortion of the audio.

If you're using an audio mode, try providing less audio (less drive).  
Or put an attenuator pad on the amp input so it requires more drive 
(which must be able to safely dissipate that power).
