[Kenwood] [TS-570] TS570 No Mic Transmit Audio

Problem solved. Somehow the mic gain got set to zero. It may be a weak
battery since I have never changed it. I could have hit the mic button and
then later turned the multi control to do something else.

I have a TS-570SG with no transmit audio via the mic jack. Digital
transmission via the ACC jack is fine. Receive is fine. Swapped mics with
same results. It has been sitting steady on my operating desk for years. I
use it at least one a week and lately everyday on digital. I have not even
opened it up yet. There has been a problem from time to time with transmit
audio drop out, but if I wiggled the mic cord near the connector it would be
fine for a month or so. Using the original handheld mic with coiled cord. I
am the original owner for 10-20 years.

Any ideas where to start?
If I don't fine a mechanical connection problem, I will have to send it in.

Where is the best place to send it from Georgia?
