Kenwood TM-261, 2 m FM Transceiver

The Kenwood TM-261A 2 meter transceiver. is fully
equipped, sturdily built and supremely user-friendly.
It provides 50 watts output (50/10/5 watts).
All 61 memory channels can be identified
alphanumerically.
The TM-261A includes airband receive, public
service and weather (receive 118 to 174 MHz),
with auto-power off and auto repeater offset.

It has many scan modes.
Size: 5.5 x 1.7 x 6.7 inches, 2.2 lbs.
It requires 13.8 VDC at 11 Amps.

Kenwood MC-60 A Desk Microphone:

The Kenwood MC-60 A has been a popular desk mic
for many years. It has a communication type dynamic
unidirectional moving coil type mic element.
It features UP-DOWN tuning and a built-in pre-amp.
There is a PTT switch that also has a lock feature.

The mic impedance may be set for 50K ohms or
500 ohms.
The frequency response is 150 Hz-10 kHz with the
preamp off and 200 Hz- 7 kHz with the preamp on.

The heavy zinc die-cast base provides extra stability.

The preamp requires two AA cells which are mounted
through the bottom of the base, but are not needed
with most Kenwood rigs that provide a DC voltage
in the mic connector.

It has a round 8 pin plug.

Cosmetically, I do not find a scratch on this one;
there is slight wear near the PTT switch. This one
also has a nice large gray wind sock, along with
paper work for only $90.

Hand Microphone with round 8 pin plug for Kenwood, Alinco, etc.

This hand mic works great on most Kenwood rigs with the
round 8 pin connector, such as the TS-440, TM-241,
TM-2530, TW-4000, and others, including Alinco and ADI.
It says "Electret Condenser Mic" on the back, and
"Kenwood" on the front, with no model number.

Basically, this mic functions like an MC-43, with a couple
more features. It has the mic and PTT switch; it also has
up/down switches on the top. There are four "extra" buttons
labeled Call, VFO, MR, and PF. What these four buttons do
depends on the rig. There is also a "Lock" switch on the back.

Regardless if you use the four extra buttons or not, you
still have a mic that works like an MC-43.

This mic works fine, and looks like new. I am guessing it
came with a rig, and was immediately put in the drawer,
and never used.

Linear Amp Switching Cables for Kenwood Rigs:

This cable goes from a Kenwood transceiver to a linear
amplifier to switch the amp from transmit to receive.

One end has a DIN connector, as is used with most Kenwood
rigs. The other end has an RCA phono plug, as used by most
linear amplifiers.

Before using this cable, please check the switching
capabilities of your transceiver, and the requirements
of your amplifier.
