[Kenwood] TM-V7A Power On Problem

Over the years, I have amassed three "blue eyed monsters" aka the 
Kenwood TM-V7A.  Two have lines in the display, but one is still 
perfect!  I was housecleaning and decided to power them up and reprogram 
them using the RT Systems software.

One of the three radios will only power on intermittently.  When you can 
get it to power on, you can then power it off, on, off, on, seemingly 
forever.  If you leave it turned on, it will eventually turn itself 
off.  It's not the control head, I've swapped them around.  I've done 
factory resets on it and that has no effect, although the reset does 
work if you catch the radio in the right mood.

I have not opened up the radio for a look around.  Just curious if 
anyone else has seen this and has a suggestion?
