I've seen the 6kc plugin filter available from Inrad, but also wired in type original filters on eBay which are much more affordable. Can I use the wired in YK-88A filter on the existing AM board, or is the plugin type the only way to go. Thanks guys. I understand that there's the 6kc filter on a board, that plugs directly into the receiver, (the A1 filter), and the wired in filter the YK-88A. My question is when I remove the stock AM filter board from the receiver, can I solder in the new wired in filter onto that board, and plug that board back into the receiver. Thanks.
