Hello All, 

I have a TM-732A that has developed issues. When transmitting on 2M, all I
see is 

Low power working. Medium and high yield low. (according the the ammeter on
the power 

Supply and a power meter.) 

On 440 I don't see any output at all. 

The ammeter shows an initial surge of current in both modes like it tries to


Xmit at a higher power and then falls back, like as if there was a high SWR.


1KW dummy load used. 

RX works fine

Anyone have any ideas?

 I have for sale a Kenwood TS590S HF/6m transceiver in excellent condition.
This has had the ALC overshoot mod taken care of by Kenwood, and works fine
on all bands. It has the VGS-1 voice module installed for using as a voice
keyer, recording receive audio, and to use as a voice synthesizer. It also
the Kenwood TCXO installed. That is $184.95 worth of options installed.
This comes with the 500hz CW roofing filter and 2.7khz roofing filter as
standard also.

The receive on the TS590 is incredible. One of the best sounding radios I
have ever heard. Also operates just fine even in crowded QRM contest
conditions. It also has a built in sound card so you can do the digital
modes just using a USB cable.

This has the original box, hand mic, manual, and power cord with it. Looks
very good in its physical condition and works great. Read the eham.net
reviews on this, everyone loves this rig.. I am asking $760 plus any
shipping charges.

Kenwood TS-430 HF Transceiver:

The Kenwood TS-430 is an HF transceiver covering
160 thru 10 meters, including the WARC bands. It
produces about 100 watts output, and is powered by
13 V DC at about 20 amps. It is primarily a SSB
and CW transceiver, although it does support AM.

This one works fine. It hears well, although I didn't
hear much on 10 or 15 meters. On the transmit end,
it has at least 100 W output on all bands except for
160 meters where it is a tad less. Cosmetically it is
very good.

The MC-80 is a nice goose neck type desk mic complete
with up-down switch, plus a locking and momentary PTT

Kenwood YK-88 S Crystal Filter:

This is a "solder in" type filter used on rigs such as the
TS-120, TS-130, TS-430, TS-440, and others of this era.
It is 2.4 KHz wide and used for SSB.

It works 100%, and includes paper work for $55

Gap "Hear It" Speaker:

The Gap "Hear It" is a compact speaker with digital
signal processing to reduce or eliminate noise. This
speaker greatly improves signal to noise ratio and
speech clarity. It can be used for AM, FM or SSB
voice signals. This innovative product was developed
in England and is available now in the USA.

A front mounted bi-color LED lets you know when the
speaker is drawing power (red) and when it is processing
(green).

The rear panel features a control used to set the eight
levels of noise cancelling. It also has the DC input jack
for the required 12-28 VDC @500 mA. A 6 foot audio lead
is included (3.5 mm mini mono plug). This device comes

Kenwood TSU-6 CTCSS Tone Encoder/Decoder:

Many transceivers, both mobile and HTs, either have
no subaudible CTCSS PL tones in them, or they may
have an encoder only.

If you need both encode and decode, it may be that
you need the TSU-6, depending on your rig.

The TSU-6 is made to work with the TH-25, TH-45, and
TH-55 series HTs and probably others. It also works
with the TM-231, TM-701, TM-702, TM-721, TM-731 and
likely other mobile rigs.

This one works fine. Since it installs internally,
cosmetics is a non-issue.

Buy this unit for $43.

Power Cable with 6 pin Molex plug on one end as used by most
HF rigs, and many others, and stripped/tinned ends on the

Kenwood PG-2 N
This is the power cable that has a "T" connector on one end
as is used with most 2 meter, 440 MHz and dual band rigs.
This one is new, still in its original packing.

Linear Amp Switching Cables for Kenwood Rigs:

This cable goes from a Kenwood transceiver to a linear
amplifier to switch the amp from transmit to receive.

One end has a DIN connector, as is used with most Kenwood
rigs. The other end has an RCA phono plug, as used by most
linear amplifiers.

Before using this cable, please check the switching
capabilities of your transceiver, and the requirements
of your amplifier.

 I have for sale a Kenwood MC-43s 8 pin hand mic. This has the round 8 pin
connector on it and works with most Kenwood HF rigs. Good condition and
works fine. These sell new for $56.95 plus shipping, I am asking $33
shipped for it.

I also have a 4 pin power cord, about 7 feet long with powerpole connectors
on it.  Fused in the positive line.  This fits the TS590 and most of the
current radios by other manufacturers as well.  Asking $20 shipped for it.
