FYI - according to PacParts (Kenwood US amateur parts supplier), the SIX
pin DC power plug has been
DISCONTINUED. (No surprise there - Kenwood hasn't been using a 6 pin DC
plug arrangement in any of their transceivers for quite a few years. Kenwood,
Yaesu and Icom have all switched to 4 pin DC power cords and this has been
the situation for at least the past 10 years (since the TS-590 replaced the
 570 series radios).

So - if you need to replace this plug, your best bet it to buy the
PowerWerx OEM style replacement as I provided in previous emails (available from
HRO/GigaParts). You can stop all the 'wild goose chases' looking for the
Kenwood part - You ain't gonna find one anymore! 6 Pin DC plugs/cords are
obsolete, and if you feel a need to buy one of these older radios (eg.
440/450/850,570, etc) - MAKE SURE TO GET THE DC POWER CORD WITH THE RADIO!
