[Kenwood] FS: Kenwood TS950SD dual receive HF radio

Bob,

The TS870 did actually use crystal filters.  If you read the section of the
QST review of the TS870 where it talks about how the DSP is implimented, it
mentions that it uses 3khz crystal filters at both the 2nd and 3rd IFs and
then achieves the final bandwidth by overlapping these filters.  The TS950S
and SDX do have a manual notch which is usually better than an autonotch.
I didn't get to use the 870 I had briefly under heavy contest conditions,
but from everyday operating, I think the TS950SD will filters was a better
receiver than the 870.
