[Kenwood] Re TL-922 amp

I have 2 - TL922's
I would definitely remove the tubes and  run the filaments for some time 
out of the amp in A hb test fixture make sure the tubes are upright
then check the tubes for shorts. Then run the amp w/o tubes up on the 
variac to reform the hv caps.
The last amp i got had a blown plate meter and  I bought the last one 
(supposedly) that east coast transistor had for about $80.
I would put the double diode mod on that meter to keep from blowing it 
out if something goes wrong when you do get the amp
going.
I am not too sure of all the other mods to these amps however many think 
they are needed.
They are great amps I have one hooked to a beautiful TS-940 with one 
spare in case of need.
