Kenwood TM-V7A, Dual Band FM Transceiver:

The Kenwood TM-V7A has an easy to operate control panel
and a cool-blue reversible LCD. It has DTSS and pager
functions, 280 memory channels plus the ability to receive
two frequencies on the same band. Other features include
S-meter squelch, time-out timer, dimmer, auto power-off
and supplied MC-53DM backlit DTMF mic. There is a 6 pin
mini DIN connector to facilitate 1200/9600 bps packet hook-up.

This unit works fine.  It has so many features it is hard
to image them all.  Cosmetically, the rigs looks great (no
scratches), but it does have lines on the display, like most.
A "display repair kit" is included.

I have two Kenwood TS-700 A, 2 meter Multimode
transceivers for sale.

The Kenwood TS-700A multimode transceiver provides 2 meter
operation in FM, LSB, USB, AM and CW modes. Power output is
rated at 10 watts. It covers the entire 2 meter band.
Enhancements include RF gain, RIT, squelch, noise blanker and
44 fixed channels (11 per MHz band). Operation is from 120/220
VAC, or 13.8 VDC at 4 amps.

I have two units available.

The first looks very nice. The front is really great.
All bulbs light, and the VFO is smooth. It produces from 11 to
12 W out. However, it only transmits in FM and USB. There is no
power out in LSB or AM. Of course FM and USB is about all that
is normally used on 2 meters, so it may not matter.

The second unit looks good, but not quite as nice as the first
one. It transmits in all modes, but I am 90% sure someone took a
"golden screwdriver" to it.  The power output is in the 18 to
20 watt range instead of 11 to 12 as it should be.  This
indicates some one has "tweaked" it.  The frequency that it
transmits and receives on is not the same as indicated.
Basically, I think it needs a complete, accurate alignment,
and then it would be great.


Buy either one with paper work and 110 V AC power cord for
$150 each. The DC power cord is not included.
Buy both of them for $275.


Yaesu FT-1900, 2 meter FM Transceiver:

The ruggedly built Yaesu FT-1900R transceiver has strong
receiver performance, covering 136 to 174 MHz. It has
illuminated front panel keys and boasts 200 memories.
There is also 10 channel NOAA weather receive. You get
CTCSS and DCS Encoder and Decoder circuits. Keyboard
entry of frequencies directly from microphone is supported.

The supplied MH-48A6J DTMF hand mic is backlit.
The FT-1900 requires 13.8 V DC at 11 Amps.
