I have a set of instructions for the Magicom TX audio processor mod kit
for the Kenwood TS-820. I actually bought and installed one of these kits
(for my TS-820) new in the late 1970s. Besides a few simple installation
instruction sentences, there's little there (no schematics, and the IC
that's on the small board had the markings removed). I suspect someone MAY
have taken one of these boards (originally intended for a TS-820) and
installed it in your TS-430 instead; I don't recall ever seeing such a kit
advertised for the '430, which came out quite a bit later than the '820. Magicom
also sold a kit that supposedly improved the receiver front end of the
TS-820; I also have instructions for that. I don't recall either mod kit
making a significant improvement in the TS-820's performance. I also don't
remember seeing Magicom ads for kits for any radios other than the TS-820.
Let me know if you can use a copy of what I have.

Does anyone have copies of the install instructions for one of these in
a TS430?
My relative's TS430 has one of those audio processor boards wired into
it, and want's it removed it to restore the radio back to stock. The
radio has had the VOX switch wiring messed with, the VOX is on all the
time and can't be turned off as well as the ON AIR light is on all the
time. I suspect it's part of how this thing was put in the radio.
I've only been able to turn up vague references to this board, they
appear to have been produced in the late 1980's to early 1990's.
tnx
