[Kenwood] TS50(S?) Was there a "non-S",

1.       TS50(S?) Was there a "non-S"?  The only manual I can find is for
TS50S.  The radio says TS50, that's all.  How(if) to tell which?

2.       I don't see any way to connect for CAT to read/set frequency/mode
etc.  Is it possible?

 

This radio was given to a new ham and I am trying to get her set up for
digital because she is in an apartment with restrictions but may be able to
get something going on low power digital.  

 

I have the cable for the mic connector ordered from Tigertronics to connect
the SignaLink USB and fully expect it will work just fine but it sure would
be nice to have the capability to read the freq/mode into the logging
program.
