[Kenwood] Passband Relays in TS-430S

OK, I did the 13.8 volt and resistor cleanup on these relays in mu 
TS-430S and it made this a whole new radio.

Now they say it's lack of use that causes the corrosion.

It must be period lack of actual use, not even RF use because the worst 
and absolute dead segment was the one that never ever sees RF at all, 
the one between 80 & 40 meters.

Now I have a question, I guess the more you activate these relays the 
cleaner they will stay correct?

Now can they be over activated?

Now what I want to do probably would best be done with a SDR, but I 
don't have that kind of money.

But say I wanted to monitor a single frequency of several bands and 
entered them into the memories, and let it scan.  The relays would 
constantly be clunking away.

Would this be a problem? And or lessen the life of any part of this 
radio? Or would it actually be a good thing help in keeping the contacts 
clean?
