Need a questions answer about the DRU-3 unit as follows:
I know one can record a message and transmit it using a TS-870s or a TS-2000, but can the unit record a received item, while listening to a signal and then with that recorded entry, transmit it to someone else? In effect record a person while in QSO and play the recording back to him via the DRU-3 unit?

Second Question:
I own a TS940, TS930 & TS440. Recently I have heard a lot of hams talking about the merits of the TS-870. Supposedly it has the best xmit & rcv audio that Kenwood has ever made. The DSP filtering can be set for wide open on Xmit to 3Khz etc. The DSP is supposed to work extremely well.
Can anyone comment as to if these statements are true. If I buy a used TS-870 will I see an improvement over my base complement of older Kenwood transceivers?

Thank you All,
Terry WA8OPR
