Gene and the List,
It has been, the shouting "thing", for decades.
The only place it was normal was with old teletype systems.
Once we got into internet, or even the original Darpanet, (The original
Department of Defense Research rendition of what we have now.), The
computers had the ability to use upper *and* lower case. The only
exception was the real Apple ][+.
I'll add that the Korean clone of the Apple did add the ability to use
lower case! That was the first *PC* I ever owned, back in the early
'80s. Folks wouldn't believe it if they hadn't been around, but the
Apple Modem at the time had two speeds. They were 300 Baud and 110 Baud.
I'll probably get comments from old TELCO folks!
You cannot possibly insult me! You certainly did not do so! I'm only
64, but am an old retired Soldier. I have *very* thick skin! Someone
would have to get face to face with me while my wife is standing there
and make very nasty comments. The result would be parts all over the
floor/ground/or other surface!
I've been married over 44 years now. She does not deserve such! So far,
I have only had the "eyeball" treatment throughout our marriage. Let's
just say that she was overly endowed in the upper section from Jr. High
School, when we met and became sweethearts at all of 13, until around
the '90s when she really need reduction surgery.
So relax, sit back and enjoy a bit of friendship My Friend!
I sincerely do mean that!
I rarely end up with enemies. Personally, I'd normally use the entire
word in lieu of "ah". However, I don't want things to go ballistic.
The "List Police" would surely crawl all over it, and then this list
would go through a period of implosion or explosion.
I simply am *not* PC! I have a very abrasive personality!
